Robert Badesch received
his law degree from
DePaul University
College of Law in
1975. Badesch spent
the first 10 years
of his legal career
as an Assistant
Public Defender
where he represented
indigent defendants
in trial courts,
Appellate Courts
and the Illinois
Supreme Court. Since
1985, Mr. Badesch
has devoted his
practice to family
law, representing
men, women and children
in Chicago and the
surrounding counties.
In addition to his
full time practice,
Mr. Badesch is an
Adjunct Professor
of Law at Depaul
University, teaching
classes in Divorce
Law, Legal Drafting,
and Advanced Issues
in Divorce. He also
has extensive experience
dealing with families
with children with
special needs.
Since the inception
of the award, Mr.
Badesch has been
named as a Leading
Lawyer in Illinois
Family Law, an honor
selected by his
peers as one of
the Top 5% of Illinois
Divorce lawyers.
He has also lectured
to judges, his fellow
attorneys and law
students on issues
involving divorce
law, ethics, trial
advocacy and civility.
Mr. Badesch is
a member of the
Illinois State Bar
Association and
served on the Board
of Governors of
the Chicago Council
of Lawyers. He is
also on the Board
of Directors of
the Appleseed Fund
for Justice. Mr.
Badesch's all around

Tina Abramovitch
received her Bachelor
of Arts from McGill
University in Montreal,
Canada, in 1998.
Ms. Abramovitch
attended DePaul
University College
of Law in Chicago,
where she received
her Juris Doctorate
in 2002, along with
a Certificate in
Family Law. She
has devoted her
practice and efforts
exclusively to Family
Law matters since
her early days in
law school. Ms.
Abramovitch carries
extraordinary experience,
knowledge, and insight
into the practice
of family law, thanks
to her boundless
energy and dedication
to the field and
to her clientele.
Ms. Abramovitch
has practiced matrimonial
law throughout Illinois
and has well served
her clients in difficult
cases in all areas
of family law, including
divorce, paternity,
custody, visitation,
and Uniform Child
Custody and Jurisdictional
matters. Her colleagues
and her opponents
alike attribute
her high frequency
of success for her

Nicole McKinnon
began her career
at Badesch·Abramovitch
as a law clerk and
became an associate
with the firm in
2006. Nicole is
a 2006 magna cum
laude, Order of
the Coif graduate
of the DePaul University
College of Law.
Order of the Coif
is the highest honor
given to law school
students upon graduation
and recognizes outstanding
academic performance.
She concentrated
her efforts in Family
Law throughout law
school and earned
a Certificate in
Family Law upon
graduation. While
in law school, Ms.
McKinnon was an
officer in the Family
Law Society and
Women’s Bar Association.
Prior to joining
Badesch·Abramovitch,
Ms. McKinnon volunteered
in the Family Law
division of the
Legal Assistance
Foundation of Metropolitan
Chicago. Nicole
is a member of the
Illinois State Bar
Association, the

Cory Blalock received
his law degree from
Valparaiso University
School of Law and
became an associate
with Badesch-Abramovitch
in 2007. Before obtaining
his law degree, Mr.
Blalock received a
Masters of Social
Work degree from Loyola
University Chicago
and worked as a clinical
therapist with children
and families involved
with the Department
of Children and Family
Services. During law
school, Mr. Blalock
worked as a law clerk
at the Office of the
Public Guardian representing
children in divorce
and paternity proceedings.
Mr. Blalock's combined
experience in law
and social work enables
him to represent his
clients well in all
areas of family law,
including divorce,
paternity, custody,
and visitation. Mr.
Blalock is a member
of the American Bar
Association, the Illinois
State Bar Association,
the Chicago Bar Association
and the National Association
of Social Workers.
